Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship Award

The Hertz Foundation supports graduate students working towards the Ph.D. degree in the applied physical, biological and engineering sciences. The Graduate Fellowship Award consists of a cost-of-education allowance and a stipend. Additional information may be found here.

Peer Advisor
The Toppel Career Center is looking for an energetic, outgoing, and well-spoken undergraduate students to represent the Toppel Career Center as Peer Advisors for the 2013-2014 academic year. Peer Advisors play a critical role in representing Toppel across campus by serving as the liaison between UM students and the Toppel Career Center. This is a leadership position through the Toppel Career Center. Applicants must qualify for federal work study.

Front Desk Assistant
The Front Desk Assistant plays an integral role at The Toppel Career Center. We are looking for someone who is positive, polite, and professional. Students interested must be highly organized, demonstrate strong communication skills, and be able to multi-task. Responsibilities include: greet and welcome visitors, answer phone calls and inquiries, learn and use our HireACane website to help students, alumni, and employers. This is a work-study position through the Toppel Career Center. Applicants must qualify for federal work study.

Graduate Assistant

Koi, originally from Trinidad and Tobago, is a proud alum of the University of Miami, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Business. She spent the past two years working with a governmental non-profit organization and is now back at UM, pursuing a doctorate in International Studies, with a regional focus of Latin America and the Caribbean. Koi is excited to serve as Graduate Assistant, helping students with résumé, cover letter and personal statements critiquing.
